Blossom offers a nurturing and safe environment. We provide an integrated play-based curriculum tailored to the different stages of emotional and physical development for children aged 2.5 to 5 years. We respect and support each child’s developmental needs and nurture a confident and curious child through daily rhythms that connect to the seasons.

Blossom presents a “school of life” to the community that offers a practical way of learning in a beautiful environment. Our teachers are the facilitators who help the children be their own catalysts of creation, exploration, and imagination. We subscribe to Rudolf Steiner’s assertion that children learn best by being immersed in an environment that offers practical activities, imaginative play, and artistic expression. We offer many practical indoor and outdoor activities, such as building, gardening, sledding, cooking, baking, sewing, weaving, painting, drawing, singing, dancing, and role-playing. Playing and being creative are the driving forces of our philosophy.

Each year, around half of the students who join blossom are already bilingual. Our teachers and assistants are typically bilingual or trilingual. English, French, German, and Spanish are spoken daily. Over the past 5 years we have been lucky to serve multi-cultural families from South America, Asia, and Europe. As the only French bilingual preschool in Boulder, we offer a unique opportunity to introduce a child to French language, culture, and traditions. This opportunity for the brain to grow, connect, and learn sounds that don’t belong to their native language and develop muscles in the mouth for pronunciation sets a valuable foundation to grow on throughout the child’s educational journey.

We organize seven community gatherings per school year to celebrate both US and international holidays.
